NPH Attorney Kevin Buck has won another arbitration on behalf of an NEPBA member.  Attorney Buck represented a Massachusetts Department of Corrections employee who had been suspended for five days as a result of a false allegation made against him in a police report.  When the DOC refused to rescind the suspension, Attorney Buck proceeded to arbitration and argued that the DOC had no just cause to suspend the officer.  In a decision issued on March 2, 2007, the arbitrator ordered that the suspension be removed from the officer's personnel record and that he be made whole for any lost wages and benefits.
